Title:

Service Technician, Post-Press

Location:

Must live near a major airport (30-45 min radius). 100% remote with nearly 100% domestic travel and occasional international travel.

Standard Schedule:

Monday - Friday, hours vary; weekend work as needed.

Non-Exempt/Hourly

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support sales with technical info, customer meetings, applications review, configuration recommendations, and support for correct equipment ordering.
• Assist in training field service technicians, sharing technical info, repair and installation procedures, and providing phone support.
• Coordinate installation elements, manage scheduling and budgets, follow up on issues, and communicate progress.
• Train customers on operation and maintenance of Koenig & Bauer Duran equipment, including safety training.
• Develop and conduct courses, workshops, and presentations for sales and technical staff.
• Diagnose, resolve, and repair equipment issues during commissioning, and instruct customers on troubleshooting.
• Act as main liaison with customers on site.
• Support customers remotely or on-site to resolve operational issues.
• Maintain professionalism and a customer-first approach in all interactions.
• Complete necessary forms and reports promptly, especially for invoicing.
• Promote safety by attending training, using PPE, and working safely.
• Perform other related tasks as needed.
• Work flexibly, including additional hours when required.
• Operate with autonomy, make on-site decisions, and address customer concerns effectively.
• Explain technical info clearly to varying audiences.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or technical training plus 10-15 years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of folder/gluer technology and operation.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical components.
• Experience interpreting technical specifications and manuals.
