Job summary

Hydromat is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot a variety of machine tools in a first shift role. The position involves extensive travel, up to 50%, and opportunities to work on spindle rebuilds as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems and CNCs.

Qualified candidates have a two-year certificate and 3–5 years of related experience, with the ability to read drawings and understand tolerances. Knowledge of Hydromat machines is required after training.

Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical assemblies, understand tolerances, and read drawings.
• After Training, have a thorough knowledge of all Hydromat machines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot a variety of machine tools at Hydromat.
• Self-motivated role with travel up to 50% as business needs dictate.
• Perform spindle rebuilds and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and CNCs.
• Build and add new equipment for upgrades to existing systems with accurate alignment practices.

The role of a Field Service Technicianis to troubleshoot a variety of our machine tools. This position is great for someone that is self-motivated and wants to travel. This job keeps everyday exciting due to tjhe wide variety of tasks that it involves. They range from spindle rebuilds, troubleshooting hydraulic, pnuematic system, and CNCs. It also includes build and addition of new equipment for upgrades to existing systems; this includes accurate alignment practices on high precision equipment.

This position requires

• Two year certificate from college or technical school
• Three to five years of related experience
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical assemblies, understand tolerances, and be able to read drawings (detail and assembly).
• After Training, have a thorough knowledge of all Hydromat machines.

Additional experience

Ability to run machines such as a bandsaw, drill press, mill & lathe machines.

Familiarity with Fanuc robotics and/or CNC

Have a thorough knowledge of Hydromat machines.

This position requires a first shift work schedule, ability to travel as business needs dictate, up to 50%. As a bonus, you keep your travel points.
