Job summary

Ripple Fiber in Lexington, SC seeks a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair Ripple Fiber equipment at customer sites, ensuring the highest level of service. Qualifications

• Must have a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to operate hand tools and handheld devices.
• Experience in customer service, construction, electrical, technical or related field is a plus.
• Clean driving record.
• Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Identify wire and cable colors.
• Qualify on pre-employment assessments.
• Be available for overtime, emergency call outs and holiday work.

Responsibilities

• Manage all last mile (Drop and in home and business networks) and the Access and in home and/or business equipment.
• Fault finding to resolve complaints.
• Create and maintain network documentation.
• Use monitoring network performance tools to troubleshoot problem areas.
• Assist with escalations (2nd Line support) to resolve end user issues.
• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and install broadband services such as Wi-Fi routers and smart home devices.
• Route a fiber optic drop cable from a termination box to a router location.
• Assist customers in connecting home devices to the Ripple Fiber network.
