Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team of customer service professionals supporting the greater Cleveland, OH region. This position is a 24/7 on-call role, located remotely within the immediate geographic area, with frequent or daily travel to customer sites (company vehicle provided).

The expected annual salary range is $56,250 - $82,500. Salaries are based on skills, experience, and market considerations.

What You’ll Do

Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions Division designs, manufactures, and services UPS systems, batteries, and electronic products to ensure power reliability. Our technicians deliver mission-critical solutions for energy management.

In this role, you will perform on-site emergency repairs, start-up services, and preventative maintenance in an on-call environment, handling products like UPS systems, power distribution units, and batteries. You will provide technical support and serve as a technical advisor for system operation and maintenance.

Basic (Required) Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least two (2) years of experience with Power Systems, Battery technologies, or Electronics.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's license.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Reside within the greater Cleveland, OH area; no relocation provided. Active duty military candidates are exempt from geographic restrictions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related field, or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program.
• Three (3) years of experience with Power Systems, Batteries, or Electronics.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot/test/repair equipment.
• Electrical Technology Certificate preferred.

Position Success Criteria

• Willingness to travel up to 25% and support customer needs outside immediate region.
• Ability to work with other technicians and follow directions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform tasks like climbing, standing, and bending.
• Knowledge of circuit theory, electronics, microprocessors, and testing equipment.
• Understanding of battery types and safety procedures.
• Proficiency with hand tools, safety rules, and PC software (Windows, Office, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills and ability to pass customer entrance requirements.
