Job summary

WECO (A Duravant Company) seeks a Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and upgrades. You will train customer personnel on operation sequences and maintenance, perform QC tests on repaired equipment, and drive service excellence through timely issue resolution.

The role requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel up to 75% during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background.
• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.
• Experience and ability to travel extensively, up to 75% during season, including overnights.
• Travel for a minimum of 1 week per 4 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field service calls at customer sites to provide installation, commissioning, emergency repair, preventive maintenance, audits, retrofits and training services.
• Conduct training with customer’s personnel to ensure understanding of operations and maintenance.
• Perform quality control tests on repaired equipment and ensure service delivery goals are met.
• Communicate effectively with service management and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Provide technical support to customers via phone and email, including after-hours coverage on a rotating schedule.
• Document all service activities accurately and timely.
• Attend training classes and technician meetings as required.
• Comply with safety practices and company policies.

The Field Service Technician travels to customer sites to perform planned services, troubleshoot issues, make repairs, recommend spare parts, and provide upgrades/modernizations. The Field Service Technician is also responsible to deliver total equipment lifecycle management services including installation, start-up/commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, audits and training. A qualified candidate will be self-motivated, professional, energetic, positive, and disciplined to be able to perform in time-pressured and intensive work environments.**POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES** **include the following.
