Job summary

Northeast Energy Systems and Western Energy Systems, a division of INNIO, seeks a field service technician in the Fresno area to service Jenbacher engines and related CHP/DG equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on power generation equipment, often in non-climate-controlled conditions, with travel including overnight stays.

Must have strong customer service, 7+ years in a technical role, English fluency, ability to read schematics, and willingness to work

Qualifications

• Strong customer service mindset and ability to drive and support service teams.
• 7+ years’ experience in a technical role or extensive issue resolution exposure.
• Experience with engines (Jenbacher preferred) and field service activities.
• Willingness to work in shift models and be on call.
• Experience with electrical or mechanical systems and reading diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, and valve adjustments on engines.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair engines and related equipment.
• Read and interpret safety documents, schematics and mechanical diagrams.
• Travel as needed, including overnight trips, and communicate with customers by phone/email.
• Collaborate with the service team to meet project goals and safety standards.

Essential Responsibilities

• Must have prior mechanical experience such as automotive, power generation, heavy equipment or diesel engines.
• Perform preventative maintenance (oil change, valve adjustment, lube and check equipment)
• Experienced using tools (including diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools)
• Ability to read, interpret safety documents, schematics and other mechanical diagrams
• Experienced in troubleshooting and repairs of an engine.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• Willing to work in non‑climate‑controlled conditions.
• Ability to travel incl. overnight travel.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
• Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and desire to succeed.
• Must be able to communicate via telephone & email

Qualification Requirements

• Strong customer service mindset and strong skills to drive, support,
• Empower and inspire the Service teams and Customers +7 years’ experience in a technical role or
• extensive years of experience with issue resolution exposure within (Field-)
• Service on engines (ideally INNIO Jenbacher engines) Technical attitude, complemented by strong business acumen including basic IT skills
• Willingness to work in shift model (depending) and on call
• Experience working with electrical or mechanical systems
• Fluency in English a must
• Good interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Multi‑working experience with Jenbacher gas engines in the field, operational & commissioning, all engine types.

• Mechanical RCA research and analysis exposure
