Job summary

Accelera in the United States is seeking a Mechanical / Field Service Technician to join our team. The role balances local field service calls and internal manufacturing tasks, with a comprehensive 6 to 12-month training period to ensure success.

Travel is primarily within the Tri-State region, with occasional visits across Canada and the U.S. A company vehicle and gas card support daily operations; standard schedule is 5 days a week, 8 hours per day, with flexible start times between 7:00 AM

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years spent in mechanical repair roles.
• Strong mechanical skills are essential, though previous field service experience is not mandatory.
• Follow lockout/tagout safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting and utilizing mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Must possess your own set of professional tools.
• Ability to obtain a passport shortly after starting the role.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean motor vehicle record.

Position Overview

Mechanical / Field Service Technician

This position involves direct mechanical work, balancing responsibilities between local field service calls and internal manufacturing tasks. Because our equipment is so specialized, we provide a comprehensive 6 to 12-month training period to ensure your success.

Travel and Logistics

• Service coverage is focused on the Tri-State region.
• Travel requirements outside of our primary service area are very limited.
• You may occasionally travel to locations throughout Canada and the U.S.
• A company vehicle is supplied for your local service duties.
• We provide a company gas card for all work-related travel.
• Employees are eligible for a discretionary profit-sharing bonus at the end of the year.
• Standard work schedule is 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.
• We offer flexible start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Successful completion of a drug screening.
• Clearance of a background check, specifically regarding violent or sexual offenses.

Interview Steps

• Initial 15 to 20-minute phone conversation with HR.
• First in-person meeting with HR and the Production Manager lasting 60 to 90 minutes.
• Final in-person discussion with HR, the Production Manager, and the Company President lasting approximately one hour.
