Job summary

Ranpak is seeking a Field Service Technician to service Ranpak equipment, perform preventative maintenance, install new machines or upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and respond to customer or distributor requests.

You will travel to end users, generate part orders, handle returned parts, and submit activity reports.

Qualifications include one year certificate or 2–5 years related experience, electronics knowledge, reading blueprints & schematics, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Electronics knowledge
• Ability to read blueprints & schematics
• Ability to use computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel)
• Even temperament with customers and coworkers
• Good verbal & written communication skills
• Logical thinking
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots customer machine problems in person or over the phone to successful resolution
• Generates orders for required parts needed

• Ability to life 50-80 pounds
• Home Office Setting
• Choice of sitting or standing or alternating between them (stand-up desk optional)
• Keyboarding/typing on a computer for extended periods of time
• Moderate noise, i.e., phones, printer, light foot traffic
• Medium noise, i.e., manufacturing facility with machinery operating on factory floor with heavy traffic
