Support Services Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will execute service work according to work instructions, ABB quality, and safety guidelines. You will deliver quality customer service by planning and executing service work based on customer orders and expectations, and communicate effectively to ensure customer retention. The work model is remote, contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in the Western Region. You will mainly be responsible for:

  1. Working with customers on-site to identify opportunities for operational improvements and pain point elimination.
  2. Performing field service tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and analyzing problems through remote or on-site activities within your certified service categories and products.
  3. Preparing material lists and ensuring all necessary materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
  4. Acting as a trainer for field service associates and customers when needed.
Qualifications for the role
  • 2 years of technical/electrical school preferred and/or relevant military or field service experience.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience with 3-phase (208/480VAC) power distribution equipment (UPS, PDU, STS, Panelboards, etc.) or similar/relevant military experience.
  • Work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
