Otovo is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to service solar energy systems in West Chester, PA. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial installations, ensuring safety and NEC compliance.

The role requires hands-on electrical work, strong communication with homeowners, and the ability to travel locally as needed. A valid driver's license and experience with diagnostic tools are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years electrical experience required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, AHJ, and utility interconnection.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Experience using electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to travel locally and overtime as needed.
• State electrical license or certification required (Journeyman/ equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter testing, and battery health assessments
• Commission new systems and upgrades while ensuring NEC/AHJ compliance
• Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, and thermal imaging equipment
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and photo documentation
• Follow all safety procedures including PPE usage, lockout/tagout, and fall protection
• Respond to emergency service calls and warranty-related repairs as needed
• Communicate effectively with homeowners and customers regarding system status and repair recommendations
• Represent Otovo professionally at customer sites

Otovo is seeking a skilled and dependable Field Service Technician to join our growing renewable energy team in West Chester, PA. In this role, you'll service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial solar energy systems, battery storage solutions, and generators.

This position is ideal for an experienced electrical professional who enjoys hands‑on technical work, solving complex problems, and delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the transition to clean energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair solar panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related equipment
