Job summary

ProMach is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging equipment. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and deliver standout customer service on-site across the US.

Candidates should travel extensively (75%+), have strong troubleshooting skills, and be comfortable training customers. PLC/PC familiarity and Windows MS software are helpful, with a Technical Associate degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Mechanical principles knowledge and willingness to travel extensively in the US.

• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems helpful.
• Proficiency with Windows & MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Minimum 1 year experience in machinery repair.
• Technical Associate degree or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 75%.

Responsibilities

• Installation, integration, repair and troubleshoot flexible machinery of a complex design.
• Ensure all inspection, testing, quality specifications are met.
• Directs and/or oversees customer’s personnel during plant machinery installations and integrations.
• May customize machine programs to meet customer needs.
• Occasionally maintain a 24-hour on-call status and provide customer technical telephone support.
• Provide factory floor support when not providing field service.
• Provide customer training regarding operation & service of our machinery.
• Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs in the field.

As Field Service Technician, you’ll support the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging equipment. You’ll solve mechanical and electrical challenges for customers with your strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.

• Ensure all established inspection, testing, quality and operating specifications are met.
• Directs and or oversees customer’s personnel during plant machinery installations and integrations or servicing (repair and/or troubleshooting).
• May provide on-site customizing of machine programs by revising programs to meet the customer needs.
• Occasionally maintain a 24-hour on-call status and provide customer technical telephone support.
• Will provide factory floor support when not providing customer field service support/travel.
• Provide customer training regarding the operation & service of our machinery.
• Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs will in the field.

• Successful candidate must possess knowledge/skills of mechanical principles and be willing to travel extensively within the US and, from time to time, internationally.
• Good communication & interpersonal skills and a strong customer service focus.
• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems helpful.
• Proficiency in Windows & MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent customer service skills; ability to train customer personnel on equipment.
• Prefer experience in flexible packaging material machinery.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in machinery repair.
• PLC programming experience preferred.
• Technical Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 75%.
