Job summary

ProMach seeks a Field Service Technician to support installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging equipment. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical challenges at customer sites with strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.

You must be willing to travel up to 75% within the US and occasionally abroad, possess technical know-how, and communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues and provide training on equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in machinery repair (minimum 1 year)
• Willingness to travel extensively (US and occasionally international)
• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems is helpful
• Proficiency in Windows & MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Experience with flexible packaging machinery preferred
• PLC programming experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain and repair automated packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues at customer sites.
• Direct and/or supervise customer personnel during installations and servicing.
• Provide on-site programming adjustments to meet customer needs when required.
• Train customer personnel on operation and service of machinery.
• Travel up to 75% to US and international locations as needed.

Matrix Packaging Machinery is seeking a talented Field Service Technician. You’ll support the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging equipment. You’ll solve mechanical and electrical challenges for customers with your strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Does this work interest you?

• Installation, integration, repair and troubleshoot flexible machinery of a complex design requiring a high level of technical skill/knowledge and independent problem-solving skills.
• Ensure all established inspection, testing, quality and operating specifications are met.
• Directs and or oversees customer’s personnel during plant machinery installations and integrations or servicing (repair and/or troubleshooting).
• May provide on-site customizing of machine programs by revising programs to meet the customer needs.
• Occasionally maintain a 24-hour on-call status and provide customer technical telephone support.
• Will provide factory floor support when not providing customer field service support/travel.
• Provide customer training regarding the operation & service of our machinery.
• Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs will in the field.

• Successful candidate must possess knowledge/skills of mechanical and electrical principles and be willing to travel extensively within the US and, from time to time, internationally.
• Good communication & interpersonal skills and a strong customer service focus.
• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems helpful.
• Proficiency in Windows & MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent customer service skills; ability to train customer personnel on equipment.
• Prefer experience in flexible packaging material machinery.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in machinery repair.
• PLC programming experience preferred.
• Technical Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Willingness to travel a minimum of 75%.
