Base pay range

$26.00/hr - $34.00/hr

* REQUIRED: this client is specifically seeking candidates with at least 4 years of experience in the US military with a Mechanical/Electrical MOS *

Ideal candidates include diesel technicians, heavy equipment mechanics, and aircraft technicians.

Must be skilled with diagnostics, schematics, and 480V systems.

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client to recruit a Field Service Technician in Boston, MA. This role offers opportunities for career growth through extensive training on-site, in factory, and classroom settings, including forklift repair for candidates with a solid Mechanical background.

The role is 90% fieldwork involving real-time troubleshooting, with local travel only and home nightly.

Compensation: $26.00-34.00/hour base, plus OT, a company vehicle, gas card, and a $2,500 interest-free tool loan.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial equipment, including newer battery-powered, diesel, and gasoline machinery; conduct diagnostics to identify malfunctions; troubleshoot issues.
• Interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals related to forklifts and construction equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections; address issues as needed.
• Communicate repair needs, provide estimates, and explain work to customers, ensuring excellent customer service and professionalism.
• Maintain a clean and professional service vehicle; report maintenance needs promptly.

Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of US Military experience with Mechanical/Electrical MOS.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostics, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Availability for overtime, emergency service, and weekend callouts.
• Knowledge of diagnostics, schematics, and repairs.
• Clear communication skills and professionalism.
