Job summary

Burt Process Equipment, a leader in fluid treatment, is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their Boston team. You will travel nationwide to service and support water systems, install and calibrate equipment, and train customers on proper operation.

Ideal candidates are mechanical technicians with strong electrical skills, willing to travel up to 75% of the year and stay on-site for multi-week assignments when required. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, upgrade, assemble, modify, commission, program, and provide training on all types of water systems including building of Burt Process systems in house as well as fixing existing customer systems.
• Safely travel to/ from job sites.
• Technicians will be required to fly to and from jobsites out of state. Including staying in hotels for extended periods of time through weekends as needed.
• Provide the customer with on-site support for various activities (including / training / calibrations / panel modifications / wiring installation /as well as site visits for quotes).
• Support the customers in problem solving over the phone when necessary.
• Complete all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform calibrations, pump installations, pump repairs, and troubleshooting of equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Verify travel arrangements with manager when they are subject to change.
• Ensure work quoted on service ticket is the work being performed on site.
• Comply with all safety training (when applicable to position) including Hazardous Material, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Confined Space, CPR, Respirator Training
