Job summary

WGNSTAR is seeking a Field Service Technician in Boise, Idaho to install, service, and start up chemical distribution equipment on-site and at project sites. The role includes on-the-job training and occasional travel to client facilities.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of relevant experience or certifications; candidates should have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and be comfortable with hazardous chemicals and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, AAS or Equivalent Military Experience, and certifications or 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Willingness to work with hazardous chemicals and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work with Chemical distribution equipment on-site and/or on the manufacturing floor.
• Train in plumbing, welding, electrical, instrumentation and controls wiring pertaining to this chemical equipment.
• Start working OJT in the manufacturing facility and then travel to the project site for installation and start-up of equipment.
• Perform mechanical and electrical tasks related to chemical distribution systems.
• Work with hazardous chemicals and learn the proper PPE required and Safety procedures for each site.

Schedule: M-F, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $27.50+ DOE, Hourly

Location: Boise, ID

Travel: Occasional domestic travel

Position Type: Full-Time

Preferences:

• Previous Semiconductor experience.

Physical Effort/Activities: May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able tobend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
