Job summary

TechniPower, Inc. in the Dayton, OH area is seeking a Field Service Technician to wire machinery, run conduit, and perform startup, testing and debugging of control panels to meet customer specs.

Travel to sites is required up to 50% and on-site work is mandatory. Ideal candidates have an Associate Degree in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics or equivalent, two years’ experience with electrical control panel design and wiring, and ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electrical, Controls or Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Two years of experience with electrical control panel design, assembly and wiring.
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings.
• Experience with 240/480V single and 3-phase circuits.
• Experience with AC and DC control circuits.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC and relay logic.
• Ability to build control panels.
• Experience in pneumatics, valves and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Wire machinery and run conduit for control panels.
• Start up, test and debug completed control panels to verify specs.
• Travel to customer sites up to 50% as required.
• On-site installation and commissioning.

Job description

I have a client located in Dayton, OH area who is looking for a Field Service Technician. If you or any of your colleagues are interested in discussing this opportunity.

In this role you will be responsible for wiring machinery, including running conduit using both rigid and EMT conduit, the start up, testing, and debugging completed control panels to verify that they meet our company and customer specs, driving and flying travel to customer sites as required . This position has a travel requirement of 50%.

This position is a PERMANENT role that is a long term need for my client. This role must be worked ON-SITE.

Job Requirements:

• Associate Degree in a relevant Engineering field of study (Electrical, Controls or Mechatronics), or the equivalent in practical application
• Two years of experience with electrical control panel design, assembly and wiring
• Ability to read manuals, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings
• Experience with 240/480V single and 3-phase circuits
• Experience with AC and DC control circuits
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC and relay logic
• Ability to build control panels
• Experience in pneumatics, valves, and hydraulics
