Summary

Functions as an experienced technician who can perform diagnosis and repairs of vehicle components independently, with prior experience as a B Class or higher general service technician.

Essential Duties
  • Work at customer job sites.
  • Perform unsupervised repairs according to dealership and factory standards.
  • Perform major component repairs and overhauls.
  • Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspections.
  • Perform electrical and air conditioning repairs.
  • Communicate with the service department regarding workflow and parts needs.
  • Document all work performed and manage warranty parts tracking.
  • Inspect vehicles for safety and additional work needs.
  • Test drive vehicles and assist in major repairs.
  • Participate in training and stay updated with manufacturer bulletins.
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop environment and tools.
  • Comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications

Must have at least five years of related experience or equivalent education, with skills in engine and driveline troubleshooting, electrical, and A/C systems. Good supply of hand tools is required.

  • ASE Certifications
  • Drive Train Certification (Medium/Heavy Truck)
  • HVAC Certification (Medium/Heavy Truck)
  • State Vehicle Inspector Certification (Class 7)
  • CDL Class B or above
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • MX Engine Certified
  • Cummins MD and HD Certification
Physical Demands

Requires standing, handling, reaching, walking, climbing, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, and more, with good vision capabilities. Reasonable accommodations can be made.
