Job summary

PAC is seeking a self-motivated Field Service Technician to install, calibrate, repair and maintain PAC Physical Properties instruments at customer sites across the West/Northwest US, with travel to other regions and internationally as needed. You will train customers, troubleshoot applications, and ensure equipment performance meets ASTM and PAC specifications.

You will work with sales to upsell services, manage field inventory, document activities, and mentor less experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemistry or electronics or equivalent experience.
• Technical B.S. degree is a plus.
• Minimum five years’ experience working with analytical equipment for the Petrochemical industry; or equivalent experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Installs, calibrates, and services PAC Physical Properties instruments at customer sites.
• Provides telephone support as needed.
• Performs calibration and checks per ASTM or PAC methods to ensure analyzer performance.
• Maintains and troubleshoots test apparatus and peripheral equipment in the field.
• Supports sales by upselling services and growing PAC business.
• Provides customer training and mentoring to newer field staff.
