Job summary

Malvern Panalytical is seeking a Customer Support Engineer based in Idaho to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair analytical instrumentation across the Northwestern US. You will be the trusted technical partner for customers, traveling extensively to ensure optimal instrument performance and minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities include on-site installations, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and proactive customer communication.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years experience in electronics, electro-mechanical systems, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing complex instrumentation.
  • Proven customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install instrumentation from delivery to customer sign-off.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting on equipment.
  • Diagnose issues remotely, over the phone, and on-site at customer locations.
  • Respond to customer inquiries within service response guidelines.
  • Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.
  • Maintain service reports and maintenance records accurately with quality standards.
