Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician C to provide technical support for Transformer Service across the US. You will perform mechanical work in substations, inspect equipment, and service/repair components while documenting site activities using computer systems.

Travel up to 85% and operate vacuum oil processors as part of field operations. The role emphasizes compliance with regulations and safety while supporting transformer testing and reliability of power

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 2 years of professional field service experience.
• Experience performing mechanical work in electrical substations and field service support.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 85%.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work in electrical substations.
• Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify errors, defects, or issues.
• Service, repair, and adjust mechanical components on equipment.
• Use computers and software to set up functions, enter data, and process site visit information.
• Operate and maintain vacuum oil processors and oil handling equipment.
• Support transformer testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
