Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Field Service Technician C to provide technical support for Transformer Service in the US Services HUB. You will perform mechanical work in electrical substations, inspect equipment, and service components that operate on mechanical systems, while documenting site activities using computer systems.

You will travel up to 85% with onsite leadership, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting transformer testing activities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of professional work experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience performing mechanical work in electrical substations.
• Ability to travel up to 85%.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• Associate degree in a related field is a plus.
• Possession of a Class A CDL is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical work in electrical substations.
• Inspect equipment, structures, and materials for issues.
• Service, repair, and adjust mechanical components.
• Document site activities using computer systems.
• Support transformer testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• Complete vacuum oil processing logs.
• Travel to sites as needed.
