Job summary

Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician - LTC to travel across the USA. You will perform mechanical and electrical tasks in field service projects for power transmission, distribution, and generation equipment, following procedures and industry standards.

You will independently troubleshoot technical requirements, assemble field reports, and support installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical equipment. Some travel and report writing are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of industry-specific work experience or advanced post-high school education.
• Utility experience is preferred.
• Experience in report writing is expected.
• Valid driver’s license with no points in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Receive assignments from lead/manager.
• Read and follow company procedures and blueprints.
• LtC repair and maintenance responsibilities.
• Maintain required clearances for voltage classifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical testing/theory and controls.
• Verify wiring and alarm circuits in power transformers.
• Compose field reports and customer communications in a timely manner.
• Electrical tests such as Hi-pot, Doble, TTR, Ductor, Megger.
