Job summary

Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician I to support electrical and mechanical tasks across the United States. You will join a team to execute field service projects on transformers and related equipment, following defined procedures and industry standards.

The role requires travel up to 95% of the time, installation, maintenance, and repair responsibilities, and collaboration with other departments to secure future opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow procedures and blueprints.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance and or repair of electrical equipment following defined procedures and industry standards.
• Receive assignments and instructions from lead and manager - both verbal and written.
• Read, understand, and follow guidelines set forth by Company procedures and blueprints when performing assigned work.
• Select proper materials and parts for assembly operations.
• Setup and layout materials and tools for all assembly operations.
• Maintain the required clearances and dimensions for the voltage classifications specified.
• Support Field Service Technician with: Transformer Assembly, Electrical Testing, Controls, LTC's, Oil Processing
