Job summary

Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. seeks a Field Service Technician (I) to travel extensively across the USA, performing mechanical and electrical tasks in support of field service projects on power transmission, distribution, and generation equipment.

The role includes installation, maintenance, and repair following defined procedures and industry standards. You will support mechanical and electrical activities in areas including Transformer Assembly, Electrical Testing, Controls, LTCs, and Oil

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid Driver's License required.
Manufacturing or Industrial experience preferred.
Mechanically inclined with basic hand tools experience.
Ability to read and follow procedures and blueprints.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, or repair electrical equipment following defined procedures and industry standards.
Receive assignments from lead and manager, verbal and written.
Read, understand, and follow company procedures and blueprints for work.
Select proper materials and parts for assembly operations.
Set up and layout materials and tools for assembly operations.
Maintain required clearances and dimensions for voltage classifications.
Support field service with Transformer Assembly, Electrical Testing, Controls, LTCs, Oil Processing.
