Job summary

Reiser is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain and repair packaging equipment across US plants. This role focuses on hands-on problem solving, customer interaction, and critical responsiveness in a fast-paced food processing environment.

The ideal candidate will read diagrams, troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, travel up to 80% of the time, and communicate clearly with clients and team members to restore performance quickly and safely.

Qualifications

• Three plus years of experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, servicing.
• Practical application of mechanical and electrical engineering principles to ensure equipment performance.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic power systems, conveyors, or control systems.
• Initiative, critical thinking, problem solving, judgement and leadership.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
• Food Packaging Machinery experience is desired.
• Bilingual English - Spanish skills are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Travel 80% (during the week) away from home visiting food plants.
• Read diagrams, schematic drawings, engineering specifications and service manuals to determine work procedures.
• Engage with customers on site, analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot to isolate problems, and determine actions needed to restore system to performance specifications.
• Share information with team members, customers, and your supervisor to help prioritize and keep customers apprised of corrective actions and equipment status.
• Inform customers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
• Participate as necessary in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment.
