Job summary

WesTech Engineering, LLC. is hiring a Field Service Tech 2 to visit job sites across the United States and internationally for installation, maintenance, and training of WesTech equipment. The role involves rigorous fieldwork, safety compliance, and customer interaction.

Ideal candidates will have 5–10 years of related experience, strong electrical troubleshooting, welding skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Travel is extensive, with weekend/holiday work possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–10 years of related field experience.
• Ability to resolve complex electric/motor/VFD troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience with fabrication, welding and inspection is a plus.
• Welding and use of power tools for equipment fabrication/repair.
• PLC/HMI programming experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Startup of complex equipment; troubleshoot mechanical and control systems with limited supervision.
• Support warranty repair and provide problem resolution with minimal supervision.
• Read blueprints, schematics, manuals to determine installation procedures.
• Provide technical advisement for installation per manufacturer specs.
• Inspect equipment quality and function using checklists and judgment.
• Travel about 80% of the time (mostly domestic; some international travel).
• Utilize electrical and hand tools; mentor operators/customers on equipment use.
• Comply with safety regulations (OSHA) and pass pre-entry drug tests when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
