Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Field Service Technician (South Area) to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors across a defined service area. You will use precision tools and service knowledge to meet customer requirements.

The role requires 2+ years of mechanical troubleshooting, a valid license, and willingness to travel with a company vehicle. A comprehensive benefits package and career development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 2 years+ experience of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major violations in the past 3 years.
• On-call availability required (first 90 days off-call to acclimate).
• This position is highly physical and requires regular lifting and moving of weights per safety policy.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors.
• Interact with customers to address equipment concerns and perform preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinator to order parts and supplies for installations and repairs.
• Provide technical assistance during pre-commissioning, start-ups, and repairs of compressed air systems.
• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
