Job summary

Rehrig Pacific is seeking a Field Service Technician in Birmingham, AL. The role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of DSD and Supply Chain tech offerings, including VOR ecosystems and material handling equipment.

You will be customer-facing and collaborate with Quality, Procurement, and NPD teams. You will travel up to 70% with a company vehicle, perform inspections, and support warranty and retrofit projects while ensuring safe, professional service and clear

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in engineering or mechanics.
Minimum 5 years Material Handling Field Service Technician experience preferred.
Must understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Willingness to travel up to 70% and work independently.

Responsibilities

Perform equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
Support customer fleet check-ins.
Support warranty service requests.
Provide courteous and professional customer service.
Assist with VOR installations as needed.
Assist the Implementation & Service Team on projects (e.g., retrofit campaigns).
Process paperwork post service to support billed or warranty work.
Maintain safety stock of spare parts in vehicle and at Kenosha Plant; replenish with purchasing as needed.
Provide customer feedback to manager to support product and installation improvements.
