Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a skilled Service Technician to support our Compression Systems and Services Division. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors and related components at customer sites within a 3-hour travel radius of your service area.

The role requires hands-on diagnostic work, reading equipment manuals, and providing proactive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with clean record.
• On-call availability; first 90 days not on-call to acclimate, then 24/7 on-call for 1-week blocks.
• Position is highly physical; requires regular lifting and movement.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on compressed air equipment.
• Assist and train apprentices and other technicians.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinator to order parts and supplies.
• Provide clear verbal and written communication with customers and co-workers.
• Support start-ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems.
