Job summary

CIRCOR International, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to support repairs on U.S. Naval vessels and repair centers in Norfolk, VA.

You will assist in disassembly, fabrication, assembly, testing, and alignment of pumps and valves, with travel up to 50% and strict safety requirements on shipboard operations. A high school diploma and hands-on repair experience are required. Compensation includes a competitive hourly wage and opportunities to develop expertise in mission-critical flow control

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of electrical and mechanical repair work.
• Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs and move around a ship.
• Experience with hand tools and measuring devices.
• Read blueprints, drawings or specifications.
• 50% travel required.
• US citizenship required; no dual citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in repairs of components on U.S. Naval vessels and repair centers.
• Remove and replace pumps and valves that are attached and electric.
• Fabricate, assemble, and test pumps and valves per customer requirements.
• Assist in rigging equipment and maintain safety certifications.
• Disassemble, assemble, clean, inspect equipment using special tooling.
• Troubleshoot to determine root cause.
• Install and test repaired equipment.
• Review parts inventory by checking stock.
