Job summary

CIRCOR Naval Solutions, LLC in Norfolk, VA seeks a skilled repair technician to support repairs on U.S. Naval vessels and repair centers.

You will remove and replace pumps and valves, fabricate and test assemblies, and assist with rigging and safety compliance to meet specifications. Ideal candidates have knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly, can lift 50–75 lbs, read blueprints, and are willing to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the repairs of components located on U.S. Naval vessels and repair centers.
• Remove and replace various model pumps & valves that are attached and electric.
• Fabricate, assemble, and test pumps and valves per customer requirements to ensure repair work meets specifications.
• Assist in rigging of equipment throughout the ship and maintain safety certifications for related equipment.
• Disassemble, assemble, clean, inspect equipment using special tooling and measuring devices.
• Troubleshooting problems to determine root cause.
• Install, align and op-test repaired equipment.
• Assist in reviewing parts inventory by checking stock.

Education & Experience

• Valid Driver's license a must 3+ years experience in a repair environment preferably in a shipyard
• High school diploma or equivalent required, associates degree, vocational or technical training preferred
