Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is hiring a Field Service Technician III to perform maintenance and technical support on our products at customer sites. You will install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify equipment and provide on-site training while building strong customer relationships.

The role requires a current US Government security clearance and readiness for extended deployments, including international travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as a technician or in a related field.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Ability to understand and interpret basic technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
• Progressive experience using troubleshooting techniques.
• Thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts.
• Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time.
• Deployment may be up to 90 days OCONUS, at supervisor discretion.
• Ability to deploy for extended time to various OCONUS locations.
• Ability to meet DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
• Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.
• Ability to obtain a passport and visa for international travel.
• US Government Security Clearance is required; processing if not already held.

• Perform a variety of maintenance and technical support on products at customer or field locations.
• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify products and update status of field equipment.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and provide onsite training.
