Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment ranging from pumps to aerial platforms. You’ll work with a diverse fleet in challenging locations and contribute to safety and uptime across our operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (21+; CDL may be required in some locations).
• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.
• Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Support a safety-focused environment and maintain uptime across Sunbelt Rentals’ equipment fleet.
