Job summary

Vertiv in the United States is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform standard field service, installation, maintenance, testing, and startup support on industrial DC power systems and UPS equipment. You will troubleshoot, diagnose faults, and coordinate with customers on site across various sites in California.

The role requires a high school diploma with 2–5 years of relevant experience, travel up to 50%, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2–5 years field service or related electrical/industrial experience.
• Preferred associate degree or vocational credential in electrical/electronics technology.
• Willing to travel up to 50% and work flexible hours including weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and troubleshoot DC power systems, batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and UPS equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, tests, and capacity/discharge tests per SOPs.
• read diagrams, manuals, and statements of work; document results and expenses.
• Coordinate with customers, dispatch, and field personnel; guide junior technicians.
• Explain equipment condition and follow-up needs to customers.
