Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Field Service Technician in Colorado to install, service, test, and troubleshoot DC power systems, batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and UPS equipment. The role includes travel up to 50% and requires strong electrical knowledge and safety practices.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and 2–5 years in relevant field service. A robust benefits program and competitive compensation accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 2-5 years in field service or related electrical tech.
• Experience with AC/DC theory, battery fundamentals, chargers, rectifiers, inverters, and UPS operating principles.
• Proficiency with digital multimeters, battery resistance or impedance testers, torque tools, thermal instruments, and other test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute battery installation, replacement, connection, torque, polarity, grounding, inspection and acceptance activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and approved testing, including voltage, resistance/impedance, temperature, charger performance, alarms, and checks.
• Troubleshoot common battery, charger, rectifier, inverter, monitoring, and UPS issues.
• Read and apply single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, manufacturer manuals, and statements of work.
• Complete accurate field reports, test records, photographs, deficiency information, and expense documentation.
