Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to maintain and repair a wide range of equipment across remote locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs safely and efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3-5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility in fast-paced environments. Sunbelt offers extensive on-the-job training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age; CDL license may be required in some locations)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime
• Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations
• Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management
