Job summary

Wolverine Power Systems in Michigan is seeking a Technical Field Service Representative I to provide on-site repair and preventive maintenance for Generac equipment. The role requires up to 50% travel and a strong ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.

You will read manuals and electrical schematics, stay current with NFPA and state regulations for emergency power systems, and generate detailed service reports within 24 hours.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical design, AC/DC circuitry and power generation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with diesel or gaseous engines and engine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of generators.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of generators during and after hours.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance service and repairs on generators.
• Read and interpret manuals, schematics and work orders for maintenance.
• Detect faulty operations and report issues to the service manager promptly.
• Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio.
• Communicate findings by phone, email and in person.
