Job summary

Generac is seeking a Technical Field Service Representative I to perform on-site repair, preventive maintenance, and assist with installations. Expect up to 50% travel and a fast-paced environment requiring hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

The role demands reading manuals and schematics, accurate reporting, and adherence to NFPA and state regulations. A valid driver license and a high school diploma are required, with advanced education or experience in electrical/mechanical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Driver License required.
• 1 year of mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA and state EMPS regulations.
• Able to obtain Generac certification in air-cooled and protector series courses.
• 2-3 years industrial experience preferred.
• DOT Medical Card may be required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of generators on-site.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during and outside business hours.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Read manuals, schematics, and generator literature to perform maintenance.
• Detect faults and report to service manager promptly.
• Stay current on NFPA/state regulations for Emergency Power Supply Systems.
• Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio.
• Communicate findings via phone, email, or in person.
