Job summary

OWL Services is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and install electronic equipment including security point of sale systems and EV charging stations. The role is full-time and onsite in Belleville, IL, with travel and on-call responsibilities.

Qualified candidates bring mechanical aptitude, electrical experience, and comfort with testing devices and tools. A safety-first mindset and ability to travel 30–40% overnight are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
• One+ years' electrical experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to protocols.
• Willingness for 24/7 on-call rotation and travel 30-40%.
• Experience with POS systems (Verifone/NCR) a plus; alarms a plus.
• Proficient with computer and smartphone use.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs electro-mechanical devices including POS and security equipment.
• Test and document EV charger performance, torque, and thermal data.
• Identify system issues and fix ground faults promptly.
• Process service requests and complete maintenance items professionally.
• Review orders and drawings to perform maintenance correctly.
• Use various testing devices and hand/power tools as needed.
• Occassionally relocate for new installations and upgrades.
• Other duties as assigned.
