Job summary

Vertiv Corporation in Florida is seeking a Field Technician to support start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of 480VAC bus duct systems. You will work to establish strong rapport with customers and maintain communication with CRC, supervisors, and management.

The role requires basic electrical theory knowledge, hands-on electrical experience, and the ability to operate MS Office tools. Valid driver’s license and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• ASMET 1+ years of hands-on electrical environment.
• Basic training in electrical theory and technologies.
• Basic knowledge with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Standard computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver's license is required.

• Vision abilities required by this job include close, distant, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in start-up commissioning, integration, emergency service and troubleshooting of Vertiv 480VAC iMPB, HPB, TOB and communications.
• Establish, promote and maintain rapport with customers, co-workers, and sales reps.
• Evaluate operating conditions of equipment.
• Interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Manage own schedule with self-motivation.
• Respond to emergency calls at customer requests.
• Strive for a 'first time fix' for equipment.
• Provide accurate and timely communication to customers.
• Monitor and comply with safety policies and laws.
