Job summary

American Crematory Equipment Company is seeking disciplined, mechanically and electrically skilled Field Service Technicians to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, commission, and maintain crematory equipment and support systems nationwide.

This hands-on role requires critical thinking, customer interaction, and leadership, with training provided across combustion systems, controls, hydraulics, electrical systems, and crematory operations; travel is required.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Mechanical repair experience.
• HVAC, combustion, controls, automation, or service technician background.
• Military technical experience encouraged.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and electrical test instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot crematory equipment operational issues
• Perform repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and combustion systems
• Inspect and test burners, flame safeguard controls, gas trains, blowers, and safety devices
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, temperature controls, and instrumentation systems
• Repair and replace valves, actuators, motors, sensors, switches, and control components
• Perform startup, commissioning, and operational verification of new equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and service visits
• Verify proper calibration of combustion and control systems
• Complete detailed service reports and customer documentation
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers and management
• Travel nationwide for service assignments and emergency repairs
