Job summary

Quality Machinery Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC and manual machine tools across Illinois. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control issues and support our Parts Department with accurate part identification.

The role includes travel throughout Illinois and occasional neighboring states, with a focus on delivering high-quality onsite service and clear documentation of work performed.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing CNC machine tools or similar electro-mechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical assemblies, electrical schematics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Familiarity with CNC controls (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Milltronics, etc.) is a major plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and service manuals.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC and manual machine tools (lathes, machining centers, grinders, mills).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control-related issues.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers, including operator guidance.
• Document service work clearly with parts used, labor hours, and follow-up actions.
• Travel throughout Illinois and surrounding states for service calls.
