Job summary

Best Beverage Equipment Service (BBES) is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial beverage equipment at customer locations. You will dispatch directly from your home base and manage your own route with independence and professional technical standards.

BBES provides hands-on training at our HQ, ongoing technical development, and a company vehicle with tools and mobile tech.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Solid knowledge of small electrical appliances and mechanical systems.
• Willingness to learn plumbing connections (water sources, drainage, copper, PEX).
• Experience using common hand and power tools.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience repairing mechanical equipment; beverage/foodservice preferred.
• Experience with soda fountain, coffee, refrigeration, or related equipment (preferred).
• Technical certifications or manufacturer training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to dispatched service calls and installations within your assigned territory, dispatching directly from home.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing-related equipment issues and determine corrective action.
• Repair, refurbish, calibrate, and maintain beverage equipment including coffee, soda fountain, and frozen beverages.
• Perform preventative maintenance, emergency service calls, surveys, and new equipment installations.
• Visually inspect, test, and disassemble equipment to access problem areas as needed.
• Replace worn parts, realign components, and test equipment after repair.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all work using mobile technology and track parts usage.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and inventory in a safe, organized condition.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships with clear, proactive communication.
• Operate company vehicle safely and comply with fleet and safety policies.
• Participate in overtime, on-call, or weekend service coverage as needed.
