Job summary

Crete United is seeking a Lead Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our Davenport, IA team. This role leads service efforts on large HVAC systems, mentors junior techs, and ensures safety and quality on every call.

We offer relocation assistance, a company vehicle, and a strong benefits package. Overtime is available, with a Monday–Friday schedule and on-call rotation supporting long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Iowa HVAC License or the ability to obtain one during introductory employment period.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
• Install, replace, and commission HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and system start-ups.
• Complete warranty repairs, equipment adjustments, and emergency service calls.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings with customers.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Mentor and assist less experienced technicians when needed.

Position Details

• Position: Lead Commercial HVAC Service Technician
• Location: Davenport, IA
• Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8-Hour Shifts
• Overtime: Available
• On-Call Rotation: Required
• Compensation: Up to $55/hour, depending on experience

What You'll Do

As a Lead Commercial HVAC Service Technician, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide variety of commercial and industrial HVAC systems while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
• Install, replace, and commission HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and system start-ups
• Complete warranty repairs, equipment adjustments, and emergency service calls
• Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings with customers
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and OSHA standards
• Mentor and assist less experienced technicians when needed

• EPA Universal Certification
• Iowa HVAC License or the ability to obtain one during the introductory employment period

Preferred

• Experience servicing educational, commercial, healthcare, or industrial facilities
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • Chillers
  • RTU / Package Systems
  • Cooling Towers
  • Boilers
  • Pumps
  • RTUs
  • VRF Systems
  • VAV Systems
• OSHA 10 Certification (or higher)
• OEM certifications such as Trane, Carrier, Daikin, York, Lennox, or Johnson Controls
