Mission/Purpose of the job:

As the Field Service Supervisor, you will lead a diverse team to achieve annual business goals for revenue & gross profit, aligning with regional and global services strategies. Coordinate planning, scheduling, and prioritization for all field repairs while maintaining contractual commitments under service agreements. Utilize KPIs to monitor FSE utilization and productivity, and collaborate with the TAC team and product company to focus on FSE training activities that facilitate growth to meet customer support and business needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee activities including hiring, staffing recommendations, coaching, motivating, and conducting annual staff reviews. Foster an inclusive environment where all team members feel valued and supported.
  • Coordinate daily field service demands by applying appropriate resources to meet those demands. Balance workload to ensure efficiency, productivity, and workforce stability to meet customer expectations.
  • Supervise and develop the FSE team for optimal resource utilization, quality of work, effective documentation, and timely reporting using systems like Innosoft and SAP.
  • Ensure the FSE team has the necessary tools and parts for each scheduled service request to ensure timely job closure and contribution to overall service financial goals.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests for onsite service, keeping the account manager informed of opportunities via direct contact and C4C.
  • Develop and implement service contract scheduling strategies to fulfill contractual commitments during the contract period.
  • Generate and analyze reports focusing on deviations between planned and actual performance, using KPIs.
  • Review technician repair details for accuracy and completeness when needed.
  • Coordinate with the FAE to develop warranty denial and failure analysis reports, communicating findings with the sales team through reports and photos.
  • Monitor and escalate VTS filed service KPIs as needed or upon management request.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Occasionally exposed to high places, chemicals, electrical shock risks, and vibration. The environment is usually loud. Employees must sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and communicate effectively. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds is required. Frequent computer use with specific vision requirements. Travel up to 30%, often overnight or multiple days.

Scope of the Job:

Geographical scope: Domestic, regional, and some international. Interaction with teams, customers, and internal departments. Internal factors include team dynamics, resource availability, policies, leadership support, and training opportunities. External factors encompass customer expectations, industry competition, regulations, technological advancements, weather, and physical conditions. Work cycle involves workload planning, KPI monitoring, and profitability analysis.

People reporting: 8. Services include support for installed base, system commissioning, technical support, and collaboration with sales and admin teams.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

Two-year technical degree or 5+ years supervisory experience. 5+ years working with technical products. Self-motivated, results-driven. Strong data analysis, MS Office, SAP skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements:

Ability to travel up to 30%.
