Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to lead a field service team, oversee technicians, and ensure work is performed to standard. You will train, certify, and schedule staff, review quotes with management, and participate in hiring activities while ensuring compliance with SOPs and Lean Six Sigma programs.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree and five or more years of related experience, plus a strong safety mindset and excellent communication in the field.

• Ability to work in the field and lead a team in various conditions.
• Excellent driving record preferred; company vehicles are monitored.

SUMMARYUnder limited supervision, the Field Service supervisor functions as the lead of a fieldservice team and oversees technicians to ensure their work is performed effectively. TheSupervisor is involved in team decisions, hiring, training, and is required to make sure theteam follows all SOP’s, KPI’s and Lean Six Sigma programs.JOB DUTIESDevelops and implements best practices and procedures to enhance business growth.Manages service personnel to ensure they meet customer’s expectations and requirements.Ensures that every technician has the proper training and certifications to meet the needs of the job.Schedules service jobs and assigns personnel to specific jobs and duties.Ensures that service personnel are provided the proper equipment and tools needed to perform jobs correctly and safely.Ensures the service team adheres to all new SOP’s, KPI’s and Lean Six Sigma programs.Assists Manager and/or Account Specialist in customer surveys and is able to review jobs for quotes.Participates with Manager in hiring new Field Service Technicians.Tracks all training for each technician.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCETypically requires an associate's degree and five (5) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESSpecific knowledge of field service duties requiredAbility to work with the team in the field when the need arisesAbility to maintain a positive attitude and productive, driven work ethic requiredStrong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skill requiredAbility to remain calm and clear-headed in an emergency requiredGood communication skills requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Push/pull up to 50 poundsLift/carry up to 50 poundsLift bulky objectsNeck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, reach and lift, ladder climb and carrying/crawling.Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor.
