Job summary

Veolia in Houston is seeking a Field Service Representative for the Chemical Solutions and Monitoring division. You will deliver on-site technical service, install and service chemical feed equipment, pumps, and instrumentation for industrial customers.

You will perform water testing, provide expert recommendations, troubleshoot systems, and maintain detailed service reports while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years instrumentation and electronics or related technical experience.
• A valid driver's license is required; learner permits do not qualify.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and across territory.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and service chemical feed equipment and instrumentation at customer sites.
• Perform water testing (pH, conductivity, hardness, etc.) and document results.
• Provide expert recommendations and training to customers.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and diagnose system issues on-site or remotely.
• Maintain service reports, inventory, and ensure safety/compliance.
• Support multiple sites within territory and coordinate with sales.

Join Veolia as a Field Service Representative (FSR) in our Chemical Solutions and Monitoring (CSM) division and advance your career in hands-on technical service and sustainability!

Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Field Service Representative to deliver exceptional on-site technical service as the primary technical liaison between Veolia and our industrial customers. You'll work independently across diverse industries, providing expert installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for chemical feed equipment and water treatment systems while building lasting customer relationships through technical excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Technical Service & Installation: Install, commission, and service chemical feed equipment, pumps, controllers, and instrumentation systems at customer locations
• Water Testing and Analysis: Obtain samples and perform water testing to include pH, conductivity, hardness, silica, PTSA, etc., and enter data into Veolia’s trending platform (Insight)
• Customer Consultation: Act as technical consultant providing expert recommendations, training, and solutions to customer management and technical teams
• System Optimization & Troubleshooting: Perform water analysis, calibrate equipment, program controllers, conduct preventative maintenance, and diagnose/resolve system issues through remote support technologies and on-site interventions
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain detailed service reports, manage inventory, and ensure all safety protocols are followed
• Territory Management: Support multiple customer sites within assigned territory, coordinating with sales teams for optimal service delivery

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Computer proficiency and mathematical skills for technical analysis
• Strong troubleshooting abilities for electrical and mechanical systems
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Safety-minded approach with ability to work in various industrial environments
• Ability to lift 30-50 pounds and perform precision work

Education & Experience:

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of experience in instrumentation & electronics, plant operations/maintenance, or equivalent technical training
• Avalid Driver's License(a learner's permit or G1/G2 class will not qualify)
• Willingness to travel

Preferred

• Technical degree/diploma in Electrical, Electronic Technology, Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• Familiarity with water treatment processes and industrial equipment
