Position Overview
We are hiring a Field Service & Repair Technician to fill a critical, customer-facing role. This is a mechanically skilled, independent position that supports our street sweeper product line in the field and at our Harrisburg-area facility.
Travel is a regular part of this role, split across three categories:
- About one-third includes overnight stays, typically 1–2 nights
- About one-third involves regional day trips
- The remaining time is spent at our Harrisburg-area facility performing diagnostics, rebuilds, and quality control
Core Responsibilities
Field Work
- Diagnose and repair street sweepers and related equipment at customer sites
- Perform inspections, warranty evaluations, and field repairs with minimal oversight
- Lead post-delivery equipment handoffs, including walkarounds, operator instruction, and basic training for customer mechanics
- Represent the company professionally while working directly with municipalities, contractors, and equipment stakeholders
- Maintain clear and timely documentation of all service activity, findings, and next steps
- Travel regularly, with roughly one-third of work involving overnight trips (typically 1–2 nights, occasionally longer), one-third involving regional day travel, and the remaining time spent at the Harrisburg-area facility
Shop Work
- Perform rebuilds, diagnostics, and quality assurance checks on street sweepers and related systems
- Execute inspection protocols and verify equipment readiness before delivery
- Contribute to sweeper production activities as needed, especially during high-volume periods or to cover staffing gaps
- Support process improvements that enhance shop efficiency, safety, or quality
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
- Document all repairs, inspections, and test outcomes accurately
What You Need
- Valid CDL (Class B minimum)
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence working independently
- Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and 12V electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to work directly with customers and represent the company professionally
- High standards of accountability, communication, and detail
- Willingness to travel with occasional multi-night stays
Preferred but Not Required
- Prior field service experience with vocational trucks or heavy equipment
- Experience diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding diesel or gasoline engines, especially Kubota engines
- OEM repair or diagnostics training
