Job summary

Ford & Stanley are partnering with a leading utilities client to recruit a Field Service Engineer. The role is field-based and requires travel to customer sites to service and maintain pumping equipment, diagnosing faults and performing inspections.

You will receive full training, work on submersible and centrifugal pumps, and develop specialist skills while delivering high levels of customer service and technical support across varied environments.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in engineering maintenance, service or manufacturing.
• Full UK Driving Licence and basic IT literacy.
• Experience using hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair submersible and centrifugal pumps.
• Carry out planned maintenance and inspections of pumping equipment.
• Assist installation and commissioning of new systems.
• Perform mechanical and basic electrical fault-finding activities.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental procedures on site.
• Liaise with customers and represent the company on site.
