Ciena Government Solutions Team (CGSI) is seeking a motivated Junior Field Service Project Manager to support the successful delivery of field service projects. This role involves assisting with project planning, execution, and closeout activities while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to project objectives. The primary responsibility of the Junior Field Service Project Manager is to work alongside senior Service Project Managers and assist with all aspects of project management.
Assist Senior Project Managers with Engineering, Furnish, and Install (EF&I) project financials, schedules, scope, and quality management. Validate that the Project Sales Order and Statement of Work (SOW) are aligned. Build and manage detailed project plans from project initiation through completion. Coordinate closely with Engineering, Deployment Coordinators, partners, and customers to execute project tasks and achieve milestones. Maintain project schedules, track deviations, and implement timely corrective actions when necessary. Communicate project status, risks, issues, and resolutions to stakeholders and management. Facilitate cross-functional communication among internal teams, external suppliers, and customers. Support process improvement initiatives related to project management practices. Manage multiple projects within the CGSI customer base as assigned.
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
